Our Team

Luke Martin

Luke Martin graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2006, starting his career at an online startup managing logistics and supplier contracts. Driven to do more, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2009, where he spent five years as an intelligence analyst before achieving his dream of becoming a Pararescueman.

In special operations, Luke demonstrated leadership and adaptability on high-stakes missions. He attached to a task force in Iraq and Syria targeting high-value ISIS operatives, conducted hurricane rescues, and provided critical medical treatment at embattled hospitals during the peak of COVID outbreaks. In 2020, his unit selected him to take on greater leadership responsibilities, commissioning him as a Combat Rescue Officer.

As a Combat Rescue Officer, Luke led teams through complex deployments, represented the career field at high-level tactics conferences, and managed multimillion-dollar training plans and budgets. One notable mission included an attempted rescue of the Titan submarine via a nighttime open-ocean freefall jump. For his service, Luke earned multiple decorations for actions in combat zones and peacetime rescues and was the top graduate of both the Pararescue Pipeline and Combat Rescue Officer Selection process.

Luke transitioned to from the military to attend Harvard Business School, driven by a desire to solve challenges faced by combat veterans entering the workforce. His interest in Entrepreneurship stems from the belief that perseverance, leadership, and stress tolerance—cornerstones of special operations—are directly applicable to private business operations.

To deepen his understanding of small business, Luke worked at Central Storage Wisconsin, a search-acquired cold chain logistics company, where he focused on financial planning and analysis. His work built on a foundation of logistics and operational expertise gained during both his military career and his early professional experience.

Outside of work, Luke is an avid ultra-runner, downhill skier, and a mediocre surfer. He also enjoys cooking, traveling with friends, and exploring new challenges.
